The first thing people ask is “Ohryon?” – Its a play on the name of the constellation, Orion’s Belt. Its my favourite group of stars – maybe because it was always the first one I could spot as a kid, or maybe because he’s a warrior, a hunter, a fighter… Anyways, He’s a fall-winter-spring constellation and I always look for him when I can.

So, this isn’t the first time I’ve done this – fought the fight against cancer anyways. I’ve never blogged about it before though. And even now this isn’t going to be a blog about what I’m doing, how I’m faring, the specifics of my treatments or my nasty little disease, I’m not interested in sharing that. I barely share that with the people in my life.

This is just a blog about the thoughts that swirl while I’m sitting.. And maybe the thoughts that swirl are actually more private then saying “today I had one shot of this and two IV’s of that and three pills of this” …but thats not where I need the support – I have a great team of dr’s that know what they’re doing and know all the ins and outs and crevasses of this disease like the backs of their hands. What they dont get are the thoughts that swirl, so that’s what I’m going to share instead.
